During the first Grant Period, nine researchers were awarded to perform a Short Term Scientific Mission. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only four were able to (partially) finalize their mission. In this first part, Golestan and Ruben explain more about the work they performed.

Golestan Karami

In March 2020, Golestan Karami, affiliated at the dep. Neuroscience, Imaging, and Clinical Science at the Gabriele D’Annuzio University (Chieti, Italy) visited the C.J. Gorter Center for High Field MRI at the Leiden University (the Netherlands).

During her multidisciplinary STSM, she focussed on applying Deep Learning on a MRI dataset to predict the survival time of glioma patients. In this video, she will tell you more about her mission.
