Dear members of GliMR,
As a COST Action we are continuously looking for ways to connect all of you to further MRI diagnostics for glioma. Although last minute, we would like to organise the very first GliMR Hybrid Networking Event on September 28, 2021. On this day, we foresee to have approximately 4 to 6 hybrid sessions, led by one of you. Those of you who would like to travel can meet up in Brno (Czech Republic) to attend these sessions in real life, while those not in position to travel can tune in from home.
Call for topics
Do you have a GliMR related research problem/activity/event that you would like to see discussed on this day? Please put yourself forward as Topic Leader by August 31st, at the latest by getting in touch at glimr.cost.wg5@gmail.com, such that we can create a programme for the networking event.
If for example you would like a software demo or a session on “How to best segment gliomas” or if you are thinking about applying for a Horizon Europe grant and you would like to have a brainstorm/writing session with GliMR members and invite relevant stakeholders to join you can become a Topic Leader and organise a hybrid session on September 28. A few notes on a session; we will aim for working in 1.5 hour blocks. You can have more than one if necessary. You will have to include a virtual component, e.g. a Zoom brainstorm session or a (live) webinar, such that people not able to travel can join remotely.
Travel costs
For those GliMR Members that are in a position to travel to Brno reimbursement can be applied for to GliMR in accordance with the COST regulations. In short, this means that GliMR can pay a daily allowance for accommodation and pay for transportation cost. However, it is important to note that due to regulations made by the COST head office GliMR cannot pay for any costs incurred if you have to cancel your travel plans due to covid-related situations. We therefore highly advice everyone who would like to visit Brno to book all travel and accommodation with a free cancelation policy, such that no costs will be incurred if you cannot travel last-minute.
Registration and location
If there are sufficient Research Topics by the end of next week, we will update you all about the location in Brno and will open registration for those wishing to travel and any restrictions that may be in place in terms of numbers. Some tips on accommodation choices for you to book yourself will follow swiftly.
Kind regards,
Dr. Radim Jančálek
